Email marketing: France leads the way among the most successful countries

According to an annual report on email marketing published by Sendinblue, France has a much higher engagement rate for email marketing campaigns than the average of the other countries surveyed. In fact, the median open rate in France is 26.13%, which is higher than in Germany, Spain and especially the United States. The median click-through rate in France is also 5.75%, compared to 4.88% for all EMEA countries, 3% for the US and 2.96% for Latin American countries. However, the unsubscribe rate is slightly higher than the global median.

The report also reveals that French users’ engagement with an email marketing campaign is highly dependent on the industry. Campaigns from software or application companies have a median open rate well above the global average, while email marketing campaigns from media or blogs generate less engagement.

Email marketing best practices, such as personalizing email campaigns, segmenting the email list for more relevant targeting, identifying new, unengaged contacts to keep the email list current, tracking performance metrics, and automation, can provide a critical competitive advantage in reaching and engaging an audience more effectively.

Email marketing remains an essential channel for modern businesses to directly reach a targeted audience, generate interactions and build lasting relationships with potential customers. With the use of best practices, businesses can create engaging and personalized email campaigns at a lower cost, with a carbon footprint reduced by up to 90% compared to traditional marketing methods.
